CITY & COUNTY BUILDING HOLIDAY LIGHTS
WHEN: Nov. 25-Dec. 31, 2016
WHERE: City & County Building, 1437 Bannock St.
The largest lighting display in Denver comes on nightly at 6 p.m. at the City & County Building, where 600,000 lights deck the neo-classical building. The bell tower plays carols nightly as well. See some of the best holiday lights in Denver at this free event.

WHERE: Denver Zoo
Zoo Lights will span through 70 acres of Denver Zoo’s campus with nightly entertainment, animal encounters, Santa meet-and-greets and, of course, illuminated animal sculptures that swing through trees, jump across lawns hide in bushes and appear in places where they’re least expected. This year, the event will incorporate the zoo’s traveling exhibit, Washed Ashore, Art to Save the Sea, presented by CH2M, which features 15 giant sculptures of marine life constructed from debris recovered from beaches.
BLOSSOMS OF LIGHT

Embrace the holidays with thousands of colorful lights draped in elegant designs at Blossoms of Light. The 2016 event features new elements, including the return of the grand illuminated O’Fallon Perennial Walk and the Romantic Gardens. Warm drinks and tasty treats and seasonal entertainment will be available, and thousands of lights in the Gardens’ amphitheater are synchronized to your favorite holiday tunes. Note: Denver Botanic Gardens is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day.

WHERE: Butterfly Pavilion
Visit glowing scorpions and other luminous creatures, explore a twinkling rainforest and step into the magical world of the Moonlit Moths — all at the Butterfly Pavilion. Bundle up and stroll through the twinkling outdoor gardens, too, and grab a tasty treat from the outdoor cafe. This unique, educational event explores animals and their relationships with light/activity at night and is perfect for all ages.
NEW YEAR’S EVE FIREWORKS
WHEN: Dec. 31, 2016
WHERE: Downtown Denver
Ring in the New Year with Denver’s annual New Year’s Eve Fireworks with viewpoints along the 16th Street Mall in downtown Denver. There will be two displays, one at the family friendly hour of 9 p.m. and the other at midnight. Costumed entertainers will interact with crowds between shows, featuring magicians, costumed characters, balloon artists, stilt walkers, comedians and more.
DENVER HOLIDAY LIGHTS TOUR
WHEN: Dec. 1-31, 2016 (6 p.m.-8:15 p.m.)
WHERE: Downtown Denver
Take a Denver Holiday Lights Tour with Aspire Tours and see many of the city’s famous landmarks lit up in full regalia. Starting at Denver Union Station, the tour heads through the streets of Lower Downtown (LoDo), Larimer Square and midtown, stopping at Civic Center Park. The tour then heads into some of Denver’s oldest neighborhoods before arriving at Denver Botanic Gardens for the Blossoms of Light show. Snap photos, enjoy new friends and warm drinks in the comfort of an upscale vehicle. The cost is $59 per person for adults and $57 for children and includes entrance to the Botanic Gardens.
